First Aussie con and BEST DAY EVER!
So, I went to Supanova Perth today - my very first convention since I moved to Australia November before last. It's more an MCM Expo/LFCC-type event than what I would consider a convention, but I knew what to expect so I wasn't in any way disappointed.
We had to buy tickets but instead of waiting in a queue for a couple of hours in a stifling hall with nowhere to sit (I'm looking at you, Expo) we were actually through and walking into the convention in about fifteen minutes. It's been a fun few years but I just don't use it much any more and most of the artists I admired have either moved on elsewhere or turned out to be less admirable than I had previously thought. Almost all the people I want to follow I now follow on other sites like Facebook or their own sites and I don't have the time or inclination to find new artists to follow.
I won't close the account or anything, I just won't be checking in as regularly as I do currently.

Some things make me sad
Like wanting to do random things for people but being afraid to because of being frightened of seeming like a freak for wanting to be nice.
And it makes my heart hurt that I feel like I have to be rude and brusque on the internet because that's how people are, and people who are sweet and kind tend to get a lot of stick.
I don't know, I'm just... it's getting into the holiday season, and I just want to be generous and loving and really actually have a Christmas where I'm not miserable and grouchy all the time but things seem to be conspiring to make me unable to do this :(

Has anyone noticed that BJD owners seem to be more unscrupulous nowadays than they used to be?
I always noticed there were a few people who would nick dolls or try to 'sell' dolls that didn't belong to them. There were a few 'customisers' who would take dolls and not actually do anything to them or return them and the suchlike, as well as the 'honest' mistakes where people genuinely just had personal problems or whatever. But lately I've noticed this kind of thing on the rise. Particularly people sending sub-standard items, not completing commissions or group orders and people claiming 'illness' as
